Using flexible abrasive belts, you can sharpen not just straight-bladed knives, but also curved knives, tanto blades, filet knives, serrated knives and gut hooks without burning or damaging the blade steel. The two included precision angle guides ensure the proper angle: 50° for hunting and outdoor knives (25° per bevel) and 40° for thinner blades and kitchen knives (20° per bevel). There is even a 65° slot for sharpening scissors, and the unit can also be used in a handheld fashion for sharpening large items like axes, hatchets, mower blades, garden shears and shovels.
