This lot offers you a hard-to-find Elliman’s Universal Embrocation advertisement label from 1898. This beautifully framed woodblock has been hand-colored, and features a woman playing lawn tennis. Elliman’s Universal Embrocation was a topical liniment, and the company was in Slough, England. The previous owner bought the hand-colored woodblock at Pickwick Gallery in Stratford-upon-Avon over 30 years ago. The image measures 5 and 3/8 inches by 3 and 3/4 inches, and the framed label measures 11 inches wide by 12  5/8 inches long.
